Joshua Leo

]

Joshua Leo Engle was/is the 3rd child of 6. He had a big smile that was contagious to everyone who saw it. He was very active in youth church programs, on the A Honor Roll at school, played football, wrestled, was very active in 4-H, loved to play his guitar, loved to sing, was an artist, loved the outdoors, and just being a kid. He was the first to help someone who needed it, and the last to complain. Joshua loved life, and wasn’t afraid of anything. Coming from a big family and living on a farm, his best friends were his siblings which include; big sister Keri, big brother Jessi, little sister Josi, little sister Ani and little brother Cj. His parents are Wendi and Chad Engle. There was nothing too hard for Joshua, he was determined to do anything he set his mind to.

His arrival.

His Life.

His death.

  3. I am so sorry for your loss! I totally understand, as I lost a son when he was 16, matter of fact when I read about Josh, he reminds me of Lance! The thing that helped me so much was Lance had a friend who died just two weeks before him, and Lance asked me why I was crying, and I said, Lance he is just a young boy, to which Lance replied, Mom, our goal is not to live long in this world, our goal is to get to Heaven, and he said if you think I want to live like Grandpa and go from the rocking chair to the bed, you are so wrong! The thing that bothered Lance was he said, Mom why don’t people stop hurting each other and just love one another, as that is the way it is suppose to be!! I am just happy Lance is where there is so much love!!

    • It’s obvious by your story heaven needed another angel.

  5. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, I can’t understand your pain but the thoughts of losing one of my kids terrifics me. I think what you are doing in his memory is a wonderful thing.
    No child should know hunger.

  6. A great smile!

  7. May the warm and happy 13 years of memories help to heal your heart. You will never get over your loss, you will just learn to live with it. He will now live on in your heart. There is no greater loss than that of a child. No greater pain. But the love you have for him will burn ever bright, just as his love for you can never die. You will be in my prayers….

  8. I lost my own brother, Josh, 13 years ago in an accident. He was 23 at the time. I do understand the pain you’re family is going through, it does get easier but your heart always aches and your son will always live on in your heart and the heart of your children. That I can promise you. My own children never got to meet there uncle but often refer to him as if he sat as Christmas dinner yearly. Many thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

  9. Hi Wendy – Joshua looks like a great kid. I know he had to make you very happy. My prayers are with you for healing. I have been a single dad for ten years. I have twin 11 year old boys. I know your love. Please find peace.

  10. I could not image the pain and loss of a child; I have two teen boys’ 15 and 14. This story hit home with me.. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family..Happy Birthday Joshua!!

  11. I really feel for you for your loss, I too have lost a son, he would have been 48 this past March. He was riding his motorcycle and a woman hit the bike and 5 hrs. later he was dead. It gets easier but it still hurts. It has been 1 yr. and 2 mos.. But we have to believe that God must have had a purpose for him

  12. After my husband, my best friend, went to Heaven, someone sent me a sympathy card which simply said, “May you soon reach a place where you remember, not only that he died, but that he LIVED.” That has helped me so very much. I pray for your comfort and sweet peace from God.

  13. I am so sorry for your loss and thank you for your encouraging words to all of us! I will pray for you that God will ease your pain as only He can do.

  14. Bless your hearts…God will be there for your comfort…Look to Him for help…..I am so, so sorry for this….

  15. We lost our beloved 13 year old eleven years ago. We know the grief and agony and so I share one of my Poems
    An Eagle’s call

I saw an Eagle dip and glide,
And then I saw it perch upon a pole.
    It looked into my eye
    A sight to behold.
I said “Eagle where is my son?
    Take this message and fly!
    Eagle,
Tell my son I’m missing him,
Tell my son I can’t go on.
Tell my son, our time together wasn’t done!
Tell my son I am his mom!
Tell my son the tears can’t dry,
    Fly Eagle, fly!
Then the Eagle looked at me and said,
At least I’m sure it did!
    It said,
“I’ve been high in the sky today.
    I saw your boy play.
    Surrounded by cherubim,
    They giggled and laughed”.
I said,” boy, I see a woman far below,
    I see her cry”!
He said “Eagle go down and tell her,
    She’s my mom
    Tell her that I know,
Tell her that no one, not one!
    Will ever take her place,
    but whilst I wait,
I will laugh and shout and run,
    For I know my mother,
    has me in her heart.
I know that we will be,
    Together once she’s free.
    She’s still duty bound!
    Not me!
    I’m done there.
    And so I can’t return,
    All lessons have been learned.
    Tell my mom.
    Here,
    Love is endless,
    Love has no break,
    My love for her,
for my family and for those I left behind,
    is with me forever,
    in this place!

  16. Know that there are thousands of women and men out there who have lost a child and we are a unique group of women and men who understand and feel that pain. We all gather together and wrap you with love and hugs. Lost my daughter in 92 and still miss her, but it has eased some. God Bless you.

  17. I just heard about your son today on Facebook. I have an 11 yr old son. My heart and soul go out to you. I am very affected by your story and just cannot believe that this happened. I am soo sorry. I lost a sister when she was 13. It was tragic and my mother never really got over it. I send my love and prayers with all my heart.

  18. He is alive… he soul never dies… he’s alive every time someone reads a story, likes a page, makes a different choice, breathes another breath because of HIM, Joshua LEO, lives on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on…

Let’s be grateful that he does and he’s changed so many lives, we are all God’s children and God uses us as God chooses… We must know we are blessed and be thankful for every moment as it truly is a gift, that’s why it’s called “the present” …

I call on Archangel Azrael to help you with your time of grief and sorry and loneliness… remember his is alive, his soul, his essence and his spirit is near you, wanting to get messages to you…being at peace and “feeling” his presence will bring you closer to God and freedom from pain and knowing Spirit exists in the non-physical world and is present to guide us and help us on this journey…

We must ask and release and allow healing to begin because life is for the living and the living can celebrate and remember the spirit of their loved one and eventually they will actually “feel” it but a loved one cannot energetically vibrate at a lower frequency and meet their departed ones, the departed ones must heal the pain and find more peace and acceptance and then… they will start to receive subtle and not so subtle signs, because they’ve accepted and allowed themselves to be used for the greater good of humanity through their deep pain and they will rise above it knowing it’s part of their purpose for being… they will feel more inspired and connected and uncover their true purpose for their pain and suffering…as I wish for all of you…

We are never separate from our Creator, just as our Creator is never separate from us or any of our loved ones for that fact…Our Creator, God, gives us breath… I work with many clients and give guidance through Angel Therapy… The angels love you and your family so much and they know you are struggling with pain and hurt and sorrow and grief(So much so, I believed they channeled this letter to you as I came across this site, felt compelled to write and effortlessly type these words)… they want to ease your pain, help you to use it for the greater good of humanity…

The world needs love and however you can take that pain and turn it into love will be huge for the conscious evolution of our world…and as you see the unfolding of your mission and reason for being, even on the days where it doesn’t seem that there is a reason for being…you will be even more amazed at the work this kid, your beloved son Joshua Leo, was capable of doing with you from the non-physical world and life will get really good even in his “absence”… Joshua Leo says hello, hang in guys and that he loves you and wants you to be happy and enjoy life, he wants to see more smiles and more fun with remember him smiling with laughter… but also to continue doing such profound work in helping others to know the importance of this very serious lesson…

Blessings, Peace and Much Love, Light and Healing to you all… Namaste

  21. My heart aches for what you are going through and have been going through. Please just give your grief back to God. I know that you have heard that he will never give you more than you can handle and I’m sure that you say ” Yeah, right”, but you will get through this very trying time through the help of all of the prayers that are being said in not only Josh’s name, but his entire family. Find Peace with your life because God is Great and I truly believe that life does not stop here on earth. We are all just visitors and some just get to visit longer than others. GOD BLESS YOU!!

  22. Can I simply say what a relief to discover somebody that truly knows what they are talking
about online. You certainly understand how to bring a problem to light and
make it important. More and more people really need to check this out and understand this side of your story.
I was surprised you aren’t more popular since you most certainly have the gift.

    • Thank-you very much. We appreciate the wonderful comments we get. We truly do speak from the heart when we say we want to get the word out about this.

      God bless!

  23. When we (the family of Joshua) are in need of encouragement, we first look to God and then we read the prayers and words on this site. Knowing what we are advocating and that educating people about this activity is getting out to the world. There is no celebrity status or confirmation of success of this site, we just know in our hearts it is what we are to do.
Today we wonder what if he was still here, we wonder what his voice would sound like, how tall he would be. Hearing him sing and play guitar is what I wonder the most. Watching him in sports, he was a gifted athlete. Breathe in, exhale, and repeat. It gets to us, everyday something happens to take us to that place of despair and hopelessness, and then we remember Joshua lived each day to the fullest!
Thank you once again for all the words of encouragement, please remember that sharing this site often reaches different people and the ripple of education grows and grows and will be a strong wave that reaches more and more people.
    Blessings,
